COP30 webinar

The latest conference of the parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) took place from the 10th to the 21st of November 2025 in Belém, Brazil. It marked the 10 year anniversary of the Paris Agreement, where nations agreed to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

The EEAC had several representatives attending COP30, and in the webinar Dr. Franziska Tanneberger and Prof. Dr. Mark Lawrence of the RNE together with Alexis Dall'Asta of the FRDO-CFDD shared their experiences and insights from the event. Apart from learning about COP30 from the council representatives, the EEAC was happy to hear about COP’s logistics and the Brazil perspective from Davi Neustein, COP30 project manager for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and advisor to the COP30 Special Envoy for Bioeconomy.

The insightful presentations were followed by a panel discussion, moderated by the newly appointed Working Group co-chair Aniek Linssen

The key takeaways from the webinar can be found above or on the EEAC LinkedIn.
